History of Vail Rod & GunClub

Four generations have worked this ground, first driving sheep across the West, now sharing the outdoors with intention. We’ve traded shears for shotguns and fly rods, but not our values. On 3,200 acres in the heart of the Vail Valley, Vail Rod & Gun Club offers professionally run shotgun sports, private water fly fishing, and big game hunts. Safety leads every decision; instruction meets you at your level; hospitality feels personal, not scripted. The result is simple: a place shaped by heritage, cared for with stewardship, and designed for days outside that you’ll remember.

Top-Notch, Highly Recommended

“My family and I had an amazing day at the gun club, thanks to William and the entire team. Their support and encouragement were exceptional, making our experience both enjoyable and educational. The stunning views added to the day, and above all, we felt extremely safe throughout our visit. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a well-organized and secure experience“

Amazing Team, Great Course

“Awesome shooting experience. The instructors were amazing and the course setup was awesome. Will have to come back when I’m back in Colorado.“

Last Minute, Totally Worth It

“We had a great time! Made a last minute reservation. Henry and George took great care of our group of four. Some beginners, some experienced. Shot for about an hour. Henry is a killer instructor. His time is well worth the money“
